No it's not a baby, but it's the next best thing. A puppy! He is a Male Shih-tzu and Ten weeks old. Yesterday, Greg and I met up with a Father and his two daughters at a dog park in Mesa. I took one look at him and fell in love, our hearts just melted and we couldn't resist. He wasn't exspensive at all, we paid $350.00 and he is AKC registered. Normally a Shih-tzu that is purebred like ours, they run anywhere between $1,400.00-$1,900. it's crazy, i know. So we really got him for a steal. Also, it turned out that the family we were buying him from were LDS! We both thought it was pretty cool, and we felt good that we were making the right decision in buying him.
We haven't been able to decide on a name for him yet, but we aren't rushing it. We want to make sure we can pick the name that suites him best. He's so adorable and loves to cuddle. He loves to lounge around and be lazy as you can see here that was taken this morning.
Currently we are establishing a routine for him to get him potty trained and get him use to his kennel. He wimpers here and there a little, but we are fast in correcting him. It's just going to take a little time, after all he is just a puppy and he is learning.
I will be sure to keep updated once we can settle on a name for him, if someone has any suggestions i'm all ears.
