Camping In The Snow!

Greg and i went camping last weekend with a couple of good friends. Instead of going to our usual spot called the Hot Springs, it was decided that we would venture out to another camp area. Well the weather has been so nice and warm this past week, i packed for warm climates with the exception of packing two little sweaters to sleep with for the night time. I left Greg to pack for himself because im never really sure what he likes to bring.

As we came close to our camping destination it was pionted out that there was blankets of snow which we did not expect where we were going. I was a little worried knowing that i didnt pack for snow, which by the way i have never been to the snow. This was sure to be an adventure for me. As for Greg, he seemed to be fine and dandy with the idea, but i was pretty sure i was going to be miserable. As we finally found a place to camp we started to drive in and sure enough the truck got stuck in a foot in a half of snow. We really didnt think this would have happend since we were in a truck, but it turned out that the truck was sitting on a huge block of ice that needed to be shoveld out from underneath.
Greg was under that truck for some time before we got the truck out of there. And when i say "we", i mean Greg, Scott, and Devin. I just stayed by the warm fire trying to thaw my toes and keep warm. But we survived the snow despite our lack of warm clothing.

This wasn't the best first "fun day in the snow" for me, but i still had fun laughing at Greg's friends and joking around. It definately kept my mind off of the cold and misery. Im just glad we were prepared sleeping wise with our tent and zero degree sleeping bags.

As our campout came to a close, we ended it with some redneck fun of shooting cans. I have never shot a gun before, but i had a great ecperiance to have my first with a 22 shot gun. At least i think it was anyways.
I have to say i was pretty impressed with myself, i shot i think 4 cans in total. I think i see now why people like to go shooting for random dumb reasons like we did.

Greg was pretty good too, i have to say i like the way he handles that gun. Plus the orange jacket added to it. He looked like a true Redneck. It was pretty funny and we all had fun.
In other things that have been going on. I have recieved a job through M&M Merchandising setting up and re-organizing product shelves. It's a pretty brainless job in the mean time while im in the process of getting Nationally Certified. Today was my first day and it went pretty well, except that i spilt a huge jar of spagetti sauce all over the floor and on my pants. The guy training me said that it was the first time he heard of someone breaking something on they're first day on the job. I wouldn't put it past me either, i would be the person to do that. It's a good job to have for now and get some extra moolah.
