Worn out

today i started painting the bathrooms, it's such a tedious process. When i first thought of doing things for the house, i was thinking it was going to be a piece of cake. But when your the only one painting, cleaning, installing, trimming hedges, trimming dead branches off of palms trees, weeding, and did i mention painting? lol..well it turns out its a completely different story. I'm still painting the bathrooms, i had to primer it first to cover the ugly dark purple and mint green color. then i tried to paint it the color i got for it which is called "golen Wheat" its a very nice neutral gold color, but when i tested it with two coats on a section of the wall, it looked so bright yellow! it looked like i was painting a babies room. It wasnt the same color at all. So i went back to home depot to see if there was something they could do with it, like maybe darken it a bit. I was given some really good advise. First before they did anything with it, they did a couple of coats on a piece of wood to what it looked like. when i looked at it, it looked great and it was the color i wanted, but it didn't look anything like that on the wall. So it was suggested that i get some different light bulbs for the bathroom called reveal light bulbs. I guess they give off white natural light and makes color and things look more natural and the way it's suppose to, versus regular light bulbs that give off yellow light. and that's why it looked so dand bright and yellow was because of the lighting i had. So i decided to do nothing to the paint and get the bulbs. So i tested them out and the paint looks the way it suppose to and what i wanted. so i'm very happy about that, and also while i was waiting for the primer to dry i put up some curtains in the livingroom to brighten the room up a bit, and they look great! im really proud of myself. There is still yard work to be done too, i just got some garden gloves, so now i can finally pick up my mess of trimming stuff without hurting my hands. So that's the update with the house so far, and im getting pretty worn out, i wish there was two of me right now, lol...

I also posted on craigslist today our kitchen Nook. We never use it, and i want to sell it to get a nice glass dinningroom table for our house. Plus it would be nice to not have to worry about moving it to the house, it's one of the biggest pieces of furniture we have along with our dresser.
